It's kinda' cool that the camera picked up the lighted text displaying randomly in the background on this pic' (Mike is very cute, as usual, no surprise there).

Darn! Had smudge on camera lens for all of the S. Calif. photos... (Drat! And it was my fault!!!)

The smudge on the lens is due to an attempt to take pics' while on the watery Pirates of the Caribbean ride. One quickly learns that sitting on the outside of the "boat" will get one wet (as well as all that is on one's person including camera). The frantic attempt to protect camera from water resulted in shoving camera in camera bag with lens open - I'm sure it was my fingerprint that is the reason for the smudge in all the S. Calif. photos. Oh well, at least my camera stayed dry and it still works (better after cleaning the lens).

You have a choice of riding in a gondola cage that is stationary or one that runs along a figure-8 loop which, by design, uses gravity to plung the gondola cage to and fro - of course, Mike and I chose the non-stationary cage.
